In God We Trust
The motto, “In God We Trust,” is printed on every piece of US currency. But is it outdated to trust that God can meet our needs? Christian Science explains that God’s goodness is a reliable, operative Principle we can learn to recognize and trust. It shows that we have the inherent right to experience the good God is freely giving us. “When we stop being ruled by the pursuit of gold, and start pursuing the ‘golden rule’ of doing good to others as we would have them do to us, we get the tangible riches God is giving," says international speaker Scott Preller.
We learned:
• How a more reliable understanding of God leads to
more reliable good in our lives
• How a scientific approach to Christianity can meet
your needs even in this economy
• How prayer heals financial problems

Security without the Blanket
Kevin Graunke has devoted his entire professional career to communicating with people—through the media, business-to-business advertising, working with state and local government officials and through the full-time public practice of Christian Science healing. Kevin began his career as a journalist, and later spent more than 16 years in the field of advertising and corporate communications, where he was honored as a Certified Business Communicator. A lifelong Christian Scientist, he has witnessed the restorative power of scientific prayer many times, both for himself and his family. This includes healings of severe food poisoning, a broken leg, a life-threatening children’s illness, serious head and back injuries, and business and financial emergencies.

Why Healing Spiritually is Crucial
Ron Ballard carries a lifelong interest in politics as well as his love for Christian Science. Ron graduated with a degree in political science from Claremont McKenna College in California where he worked during college for a political campaign firm that conducted campaigns for Congressional, Gubernatorial, and Presidential candidates for several political parties. Soon his interest in politics took a different turn as he began to see the possibilities of prayer-based efforts in moving human thought to more encompassing political solutions. He left his position as a campaign consultant and entered the full-time healing ministry of Christian Science, a field in which he has worked for almost 40 years.
On Sunday, November 4th, Ron addressed the importance and effectiveness of prayer-based solutions for both personal and societal needs. This lecture explored the deeper issue of what constitutes healing as contrasted with physical treatment and why that is important in gaining dominion in one’s life; each healing example showing why one might choose to rely on spiritual means for healing.
